The UCO Women's Rowing team was established in 2008 and has already left its mark on the university as a quality athletic program. The Bronchos have won the San Diego Crew Classic, medalled at the Dad Vail regatta and has been ranked as high as third nationally. The Bronchos have also had six all-Americans since 2011-2012, as well as several Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar-Athletes.

The UCO Women’s Rowing team had an extremely successful end to their spring 2015 season. They were selected to attend the NCAA National Championships and came in fourth place, a mighty achievement for these talented and scholarly women. The UCO Rowing team also participated in the annual Regatta held at the Boathouse District and hosted three other teams at CHK|Central boathouse.

With its completion in March 2015, the CHK|Central boathouse became the third boathouse on the shore of the Oklahoma River. This incredible facility is Central’s home on the water and accommodates all of UCO’s rowing needs today and far into the future. Equipped with enough boat bay storage for Central’s rowing shell needs for the near and long term, an upstairs erg room, training room, locker rooms, coaches’ offices, and meeting spaces, Central’s newest facility is a world class home for the rowing team. Designed by Elliot and Associates, the Central|CHK boathouse provides a modern, cutting edge facility to both Oklahoma City and UCO communities alike.
